A dry start to the day through Wales and much of England as well as Ireland. There will be some sunny spells and it should be a fair morning for some. The risk of some morning fog patches for northern England, although these clearing. Thicker cloud pushes into southern Ireland and southwest England with rain pushing in here towards midday. A further area of rain affecting the north and east of Scotland, although the west and south should be drier but with the threat of some mist and fog. Cloud and rain for Ireland, Wales and southwest England and mist and fog affecting the coasts and hills here too. More cloud and some spots of rain for northern Scotland but elsewhere it should be dry, the sunny spells continuing over eastern England. Highs at 6 to 9C.
Wednesday Night
Outbreaks of rain drifting north through this evening across Wales, western England and into southwest Scotland. Northern parts of Ireland seeing some drizzle too. More persistent rain could affect some coasts of southwest England Much of central and eastern England will be cloudy but should stay dry overall. A few spots of rain for the northern Highland but much of central and northern Scotland should remain dry. A touch of frost across northern England and much of Scotland at 0 to -2C, holding above freezing in southern and western areas.
Thursday
Quite a dull start to the day for much of the country. There is going to be an area of patchy rain affecting much of Wales, parts of the western Midlands and southwest England as well as the hills of northwest England and much of Scotland. This rain will be patchy, although eastern slopes may see a little more persistent rain. Feeling colder across eastern areas as drier weather moves in here. Drier weather for much of Ireland, away from eastern coasts, with the best sunshine to be found in western Scotland. Highs at 6C in northern Scotland, 10C in southwest England.

An area of cloud and some spots of rain for eastern Scotland and northeast England with low cloud over the hills. A further area of cloud and more persistent rain for Ireland, this attempting to edge east and becoming more persistent, sometimes heavy, in the afternoon. Staying cloudy and damp through the afternoon for eastern England, although to the south it should stay dry but rather cloudy. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 10C in southern England, the winds increasing across northern and western areas in the evening.
