Wednesday
A fine spring day is on the cards for many today. Cloud this morning across the northern half of the country will be bringing some rain to northwest England, western Scotland and the northern coasts of Northern Ireland. This will be pushed away to only be affecting northwest Scotland this afternoon, where it could become heavy at times. Becoming much brighter elsewhere with sunny spells but staying windy. The best of the days weather will be through southern Ireland, Wales and the southern half of England. Here it is going to be warm with plenty of sunshine throughout the day. Temperatures will be rising to 23C in the sunshine across the eastern Midlands, with temperatures nearer 12C in western Scotland.
Wednesday Night
Staying fair across the south of England and Wales through the night. Skies are going to be largely clear and it should stay dry too. A band of cloud will move southeast through Scotland and Northern Ireland during the first part of the night, this bringing outbreaks of rain. The rain fades as the cloud moves south into northern England, north Wales and central England and the cloud is going to be breaking too. Turning dry through most of Scotland, although a few showers could affect northern Scotland. Lows at 5 to 7C.
Thursday
Cloud associated with a weak cold front is going to be lying through southern Ireland, Wales and central parts of England. This cloud will be breaking with sunny spells coming through. More sunny spells across northern England and Northern Ireland as well as southern and eastern Scotland. Northern and western Scotland will see some increasing cloud in the afternoon, bringing outbreaks of rain. More southern parts of England will be drier and brighter with sunny spells here throughout the day. A much cooler day with tops of 9C in northern Scotland, 21C along southern coasts of England.
Friday
High pressure remains dominant through Friday. This is going to be bringing a fair day with lots of sunshine throughout, once morning mist patches have cleared. There will be very little change through the day, although some low cloud may affect the far northwest of Scotland bringing the threat of some drizzle on the coasts here. Highs around 13 to 19C.
