Cloudy but dry Fog on western coasts seiten=4 abk=focus

Thursday
A cloudy start to Thursday morning over all parts of the country. There will be a fair amount of mist and fog lapping onto western coasts of Wales and England as well as Scotland. Western coasts may also see some spots of drizzle at first. Elsewhere it is going to be rather dull but dry. Little change is expected into the afternoon with more cloudy conditions expected for most of the country. There will be some breaks forming in the cloud though, the best of these across Scotland and perhaps along the south coasts of England too, although anywhere could see a few. Highs will be too 16C in the sunshine, generally 12 to 14C under the cloud elsewhere.

Friday Night
A quite night to come with plenty of cloud for all. It is going to be dry for many, although there is just a low threat of some drizzle over the west and south coasts of Wales and southwest England, as well as western parts of Scotland. For the rest of the country the nigh should be dry with some clear spells coming through, especially through more central and eastern areas. Turning misty for many by the morning though. Lows of a nippy 1 to 3C under the clearer skies, more generally 5 to 7C in the cloud.

Friday
High pressure remains in control of the weather through Friday. Again there will be lots of cloud around during the morning, and the chance of some spots of drizzle on western coasts. However, more of a tendency for the cloud to break in more sheltered areas today, especially to the lee of high ground. Where the sun does come through showers may well develop, most of them generally light and fairly well scattered. Feeling warmer for most at around 14C, but up to 17C in the sunshine over eastern and southern England.

Saturday
Indications that Saturday is going to be bringing sunny spells over most of the country. There will be a fair amount of cloud here in the morning, but again this will be breaking to allow some sunny spells to come through. As this happens a few showers could develop, an odd one heavy on the hills, although the showers will be well scattered. Drier weather for Scotland, Ireland and Wales with only an isolated shower here. Highs will be at a warmer 19C in the sunshine for England and Wales, but only 14C in northwest Scotland.
