Easter Sunday
A fair start to Easter day across much of the country. There will be some cloud, from an old dying front through the Midlands and northern England, although it should be dry. Good spells of sunshine across southern and western England, as well as Wales and southern Scotland. Some cloud for western Ireland and western Scotland where there will be rain as the morning progresses. This afternoon sees more sunny spells for most areas, with a few thundery showers developing over central and southern England. Staying cloudy for the west of Scotland and much of Ireland, just a few spots of rain here. Feeling fresher for many, although still to 25C in southeast England, nearer 11C in northwest Scotland.
Sunday Night
Bits and pieces of broken cloud on Sunday night across Wales, northern England, Scotland and eastern Ireland. This not really thick enough to produce any rain, apart than for western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere skies will be clearer and it should be staying dry. A cold night in the clearer skies for western Ireland and western Scotland at 3C, nearer 7C in the milder parts of southern England.
Holiday Monday
Holiday Monday sees a weak front through central and southern Scotland as well as Ireland, this producing only a few spots of light rain. For most of England and Wales it should be a fine start to the day with lots of sunshine. However, through the afternoon a scattering of heavy showers will be forming, most over the Pennines and over the high ground of southern England. Drier, cooler and brighter weather for western and northern Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Highs at 10 to 12C in the north and west, 23C in southeast England.
Tuesday
The weak front lies through southern Ireland, Wales and the south of England on Tuesday. It brings cloud with it and a few spots of rain on the hills. The cloud should be breaking through the day though, with some sunny spells developing. To the north the cloud will be broken further and so for northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland it should be a much fairer day. There may be an odd shower forming over the Scottish Hills, but for most it should stay dry. A cooler day for all at 12C in northern Scotland, 20C in southern England.
