Thursday
A cold, cloudy and windy day over many central and eastern parts of England. There could be a few spots of drizzle coming from the cloud over high ground, but this tending to fade away. The cloud is likely to be breaking through the late morning and into the afternoon, giving some good spells of sunshine later. The best sunshine today over southwest and northwest England as well as Wales and Northern Ireland. Cloudier through central and northern Scotland with a few spots of drizzle on the hills. Temperatures rising to 13C in northern Scotland, 20C in southern England.

Thursday Night
Cloud thickens up again through eastern and central England tonight, bringing some spots of rain into the east together with a brisk north to northeast wind. By the morning the cloud will have spread through the Midlands and northeast England and will be lying along the borders of Wales, bringing some spots of drizzle to high ground. Clearer skies for west Wales, northwest England, Scotland and Ireland as well as the far west of southwest England. Lows near 2C in Scotland, closer to 7C in the cloud of central and eastern England.

Friday
A cold and cloudy start to the day over much of central and southern England, with some spots of rain here. It will become dry for most places through the morning, although then showers will be forming in southern England and southern Wales in the afternoon. Further north it is going to be a fine day with lots of sunshine coming through for many. The best sunshine over Scotland and northern England as well as Northern Ireland. Highs at 12C on the eastern coasts of England, 20C in sunshine across central England and Scotland.

Saturday
Plenty of cloud again through southern England and the southern half of Wales. This brings some showery outbreaks of rain, although these will be well scattered.Elsewhere the day is going to be a fair one with some good spells of sunshine. The best of that sunshine will always tend to be across more western and northern parts of Wales, Northern Ireland and much of Scotland. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.
