Friday
A cloudy morning across the north and west of the country. There will be some outbreaks of rain affecting northern England and eastern Scotland at first, as a weak front edges eastwards. These outbreaks of rain will be fading away through the morning, although they may affect northern Wales into the afternoon. A further area of more persistent rain will be over western Ireland and western Scotland. Drier and brighter over the rest of England with some good spells of sunshine, and it should be remaining dry too. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, 25C in southeast England.

Friday Night
A dry night to come for England and Wales. Skies are going to be staying largely clear across southern and eastern parts of the country. To the north there will be a front stretching through Scotland and Ireland, and this is going to be bringing outbreaks of rain. The rain could become heavy at times across southwest Scotland and parts of eastern Ireland. Becoming breezy in Scotland and Ireland too. Lows at 10 to 12C for most.

Saturday
A cold front extends through Scotland, into the west of Wales and southwest England on Saturday, this feature edging only slowly eastwards. There will be an area of rain extending along this front, and some of this may become heavy at times on windward facing coasts and hills, especially over southwest Scotland. For eastern Wales and much of England the day should be dry with increasing cloud, although sunny spells affecting the east. To the west of Ireland and western Scotland conditions become drier, although still with a few showers. Winds becoming stronger ahead of the cold front. Highs at 16C in Northern Ireland, 25C in southeast England.

Sunday
The front continues to edge east through Sunday. This brings the threat of some heavy and thundery bursts of rain to central and eastern parts of England, the rain only clearing into the North Sea late in the day. Drier weather follows from the west, and it becomes brighter too. However, through the afternoon another frontal system moves into Ireland and the far southwest of England bringing rain and increasing winds. Highs at 15C in the north and west, 21C in southeast England.
