Thursday
Plenty of cloud around through Thursday morning over most of the country. There will be outbreaks of rain and drizzle afecting western facing coasts and hills, with low cloud shrouding these areras too. More eastern and central areas should be drier, although even here there could be a few spots of rain. Eastern Scotland probably seeing the brightest of the weather with some sunny spells here. The afternoon sees more persistent rain through Northern Ireland, north Wales, northwest England and into the northern Midlands. Patchy rain in northeastern England. The best of any brightness remainging over northeast Scotland. Highs at 20C in southern England, 16C on western coasts.
Thursday Night
A brezy and cloudy night across all parts of the country. There will be periods of rain, most of these in the west. The rain will be heavy at times over western Scotland and Northuern Ireland, with moderate bursts affecting the western slopes of Wales and northwest England. More southern and eastern parts of England stay cloudy with a few spots of rain in the wind, but it should be dry overall. Lows at 15C in the south, 11C in northern Scotland.
Friday
Low pressure is going to be to the southwest of Ireland, tracking northwards. This brings a moist and brisk southwesterly flow with a warm front pushing north through Scotland. Rain is going to be affecting central and northern Scotland, with a further area of rain and drizzle over southern and western Wales and southern coasts of England. Through the afternoon conditions become brighter over central and eastern England, and very warm here too. Low cloud, mist and fog patches may affect western and southern coasts at any time. Highs at 24C in southeast England, 17C in western Scotland.
Saturday
Low pressure is to the west of Scotland on Saturday. It will be a windy day with gales affecting many areas. A cold front sweeps eastwards taking cloud and rain with it. Further periods of rain affecting Northern Ireland, Wales and northwest England, this sweeping east through northern England during the day. More showery weather is likely to be following from the west, and these showers heavy at times. Highs at 13 or 14C in western areas behind the cold front, nearer 21C in southeast England.
