Friday
Windy today. A dull, grey morning across England and Wales with some patchy drizzle here and there while heavy rain across northern Scotland gradually clears in the afternoon. In the afternoon across England and Wales some bright or sunnier spells develop in the east and east of the Pennies while some more persistent rain comes in across Wales and the far south west of England. It becomes very warm in the south when the sun comes up reaching 24C in the London area.

Friday Night
This evening a heavier spell of rain comes into north west England and south west Scotland. Cloudy elsewhere with some patchy drizzle in the brisk south west wind. Overnight that heavier rain spreads into western Scotland with rain too across Wales and western England. Again just a few spots of rain in the breeze in the east. Gales will affect the west. A warm night and humid too with lows of 15 to 17C.

Saturday
Another windy day especially in the west with southerly gales. Sporadic outbreaks of light rain across central and southern parts of England move east clearing by mid afternoon. Elsewhere expect lots of showers in the west and these turn heavy developing in most areas in the afternoon. Heavy rain spreads Wales and south west England during the night. Highs of 18 to 23C.

Sunday
There is a risk of strong gales across south west England this morning then into the channel and south east England in the afternoon. A wet morning for much of the country but this is replaced by heavy showers across Wales and south west England then these showers affect all of Britain as the rain clears into the North Sea this afternoon. Expect highs of 15 to 19C.
