Saturday
Some fine sunshine to come across East Anglia and the south east this morning. Elsewhere generally expect a good deal of cloud with outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain possible for Scotland, eastern Wales and south west England in the morning. Perhaps staying dry across East Anglia and the south east with some bright spells but showers are expected across the rest of Britain. A windy day with gusts to gale force in the west. Highs of 19 to 24C north to south.

Saturday Night
This evening a heavier spell of rain comes into north west Scotland and lingers here into the night. Most of the showers across England and Wales will become confined to western coasts in the evening and the night. Dry elsewhere with clear spells. A warm, windy night with lows of 12 to 16C.

Sunday
Another windy day especially in the west and in the eastern channel with south westerly gales. One area of heavier rain may run up into south east England before clearing by afternoon while another affect Scotland. The rest of Britain will have a day of sunshine and showers. Rain sweeps into the north and west this evening then into all areas overnight. Strong gales develop by morning in the west. Highs of 15 to 19C.

Monday
With ex-hurricane Katia moving into north Scotland there is the potential for damaging gust of winds to 80 mph across Scotland and Northern Ireland from late afternoon into the night. Strong gales too are expected across northern England. Heavy rain is expected across Scotland with light rain across eastern England clearing then expect showers in the west, dry and sunnier across central and eastern parts of England. That rain persists across northern Scotland all night with a risk of another batch of rain coming up into south east England. Expect highs of 14 to 19C.
