Sunday
Mostly fine and dry today across East Anglia and the south east of England with good spells of sunshine. Heavy rain will spill in across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Across the rest of England and Wales it's a day of sunshine, cloud and showers. A windy day with gusts to gale force in the west. Highs of 19 to 24C north to south.

Sunday Night
This evening heavy rain sweeps up across south west England Wales, into northern England into southern Scotland and Northern Ireland then into northern Scotland tonight. The rest of England will be cloudy with lighter rain. Strong gales develop in the west so a warm, windy night with lows of 10 to 16C.

Monday
With ex-hurricane Katia moving into north Scotland there is the potential for damaging gust of winds in excess of 80 mph across Scotland and Northern Ireland from the afternoon into the night. Across Scotland there is a risk of flooding. Strong to severe gales too are expected across northern England with gusts to 50 mph inland as well across the south. Heavy rain is expected across Scotland with light rain across eastern England clearing then expect showers in the west, dry and sunnier across central and eastern parts of England. That rain persists across northern Scotland all night with a risk of showers across western Britain. Highs of 15 to 19C.

Tuesday
Still windy across Scotland with gusts to gale force. Spells of rain across Scotland will move into northern England in the afternoon. Scattered showers are forecast across Wales and south west England with a largely dry, mostly sunny day across East Anglia and south east England. Just a few showers will remain around western coasts into the night with rain just in the far north of Scotland. Expect highs of 14 to 19C.
