Wednesday
Quite a cloudy and dull start to the day through much of Ireland and northwest England, as well as Wales. There could be a few spots of rain here, although most of it will be light. This band of cloud edges slowly southwards during the day, with any rain tending to be confined to the northwest of England and the north Wales coast. For southern England and eastern Wales the morning will be brighter with some sunny spells, with little change through the afternoon. Scotland sees cloud and strong winds through northern areas at first, but brighter to the south; the cloud and wind edging south and east through the day. Highs at 11C in northern Scotland, 17C in the south.

Wednesday Night
Broken cloud for much of England, Wales and Ireland tonight, a few spots of rain in the west at first too. The cloud should disperse further during the night with longer clearer spells developing. It is likely to be a chilly night for all too with lows at 3 to 6C, but as low as 0C in the central Highlands.

Thursday
High pressure is going to become established off the southeast of England on Thursday. This brings a fair day to many areas with some good spells of sunshine. It should be dry throughout the day too. Further west there isd a tendency for more cloud and this will bring some rain into Ireland in the afternoon as a front edges eastwards. There is the shcnace of a few spots of rain for western Scotland and northwest England later in the day too. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 19C in southeast England.

Friday
A fair start to the morning over most of England, Wales and Scotland. An occluded front moving eastwards through Ireland in the morning giving some outbreaks of rain here. The rain will be reaching western Scotland, western Wales and western England in the afternoon, most of it light and patchy. This rain slips eastwards with the front in the afternoon as brighter and showery weather reaches Ireland and westrn areas. Highs at 21C in southeast England, 15C in northwest Scotland.
