Friday
A fair morning across much of southern and eastern England; sunny spells here and dry too. Southern counties should stay dry through the day. Thciker cloud and outbreaks of rain are already into Ireland and these wil be edging east into Wales, southwest and northwest England through the morning. Scotland will be cloudy and damp in the west. This afternoon sees wetter weather for Wales, northern parts of England, the Midlands and eastern and southern Scotland, with drier weather following into Ireland. Becoming increasingly windy for all with gale force gusts in the west by evening. Highs at 13 to 21C.

Friday Night
Overnight an area of rain affects much of central and northern Scotland, some of it heavy at times. To the south there will be some showers across England, Wales and Ireland, and it is going to be windy here. Most of the showers and the strongest of the winds will be on western coasts and hills where gales are popssible. Lows near 5 to 10C.

Saturday
The area of low pressure is in the North Sea on Saturday. This brings another mixed and breezy day. There will be sunny spells and showers for most of England and Wales, most of the showers affecting western coasts. Thicker cloud to the north of Scotland with some rain here where an occluded front stays close to the coast, but brighter with showers for the rest of Scotland. Showers and sunny spells in Ireland too. Highs at 12 to 17C.

Sunday
Low pressure stays east of the country through Sunday with a ridge building across Ireland. There will be some showers around, most of them in the north and east, although a few affecting western parts in the morning. Breezy too at first. By the afternoon showers will be fading from the west, and the winds will be easing with sunny spells for most although still a few showers in the far east. Highs at 12 to 16C.
