Rain western Scotland Best sun in south seiten=4 abk=focus
Friday
The best of the sunshine today is going to be through England and eastern Wales. There will be some cloud around, but bright or sunny spells are likely throughout the day. It should stay dry too. Thicker cloud and increased winds will be affecting western and northern areas. This cloud brings rain to western Scotland, some of it heavy over western slopes and hills, especially in the morning. A few spots of rain over Ireland too, although the rain should fade in the afternoon. Highs at 18C in southeast England, 14C in Scotland.
Friday Night
A dry night over most of England, Wales and eastern Scotland. There will be some clear spells here, the best of these in the east. Further west cloud is going to be increasing and thickening as a front moves eastwards. The front will bring some outbreaks of rain to western Scotland and through the Irish Sea into the west of Wales and southwest England. Drier weather follows to western Ireland. Lows at 8 to 12C.
Saturday
A cold front will be moving eastwards through England and Wales on Saturday, weakening all the time. It will be bringing some outbreaks of rain with it, mostly over northwest England and Wales. By the time the front reaches central and southern England it will be little more than a band of rain and so these areas are likely to be dry. The best of the sunshine over the far southeast. Scotland and Ireland should become brighter with some sunny spells developing, although a few showers in western Ireland. Highs at 20C in southeast England, 15C in northern Scotland.
Sunday
A more complex situation on Sunday with fronts affecting southern and western areas. This brings cloud and some outbreaks of rain or drizzle over southern and southeast England. Further cloud and some outbreaks of rain affecting Ireland and parts of Wales as well as central Scotland. Elsewhere it will be drier with broken cloud and a few brighter spells. Highs at a very mild 22C in the Midlands, 15C in Northern Ireland.
