Wednesday
Today sees strong winds developing across Britain with gales in the west and gusts of 60-70 mph possible across Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Outbreaks or ain also spread in across Northern Ireland, Wales and south west England. A dry day across the rest of Britain with the best of the sunshine in the east of the country. Expect highs of 11 to 16C.

Wednesday Night
It remains very windy across the United Kingdom this evening and into the night. Wet as well as the rain turns heavy across Wales and western parts of Britain this evening and this moves eastward in the night. A mild night to come with lows of 10 to 14C.

Thursday
Much of the country looks to stay cloudy and windy today with spells of rain. This clears from Northern Ireland, north west England and western Scotland to heavy showers in the afternoon. Tonight it becomes dry across central areas with showers in the west and rain across eastern Britain. Expect highs of 13 to 17C.

Friday
Still rather windy today with a number of heavy showers to come across western areas and in the channel. Central and eastern parts of England and Scotland will be fine and dry today with good spells of sunshine. Outbreaks of rain are forecast to spread up into much of England and Wales overnight. Expect highs of 12 to 16C.
