Thursday
Some rain across Scotland and eastern England at first this morning as a cold front clears eastwards. Drier weather follows behind the front, although there will be some heavy showers on western coasts. It is going to be windy everywhere. The showers continue over western areas into the afternoon and again some of these may be heavy at times. More eastern parts of England and Scotland will be drier and brighter, although an area of heavier rain may drift into southeast England and East Anglia. Highs near a mild 17C in eastern England, 14C in western Scotland and Ireland.
Thursday Night
Winds will be easing overnight as an area of heavier rain spreading northwards through the east of England. Scattered showers affecting western coasts, but drier inland. More persistent showers will be affecting Ireland by midnight, and these are likely to be reaching western Wales and western Scotland by the morning. Lows near 8 to 10C.
Friday
The chance of rain over eastern Scotland this morning as a cold front clears into the North Sea. Heavier showers will be moving into Ireland and western Scotland, as well as Wales and southwest England through the morning. These showers lasting into the afternoon, many of them edging east with heavy showers in many southern and western areas. Highs near 12C in Scotland, 16C in southern England.
Saturday
Low pressure over France will be bringing an area of cloud and drizzle into East Anglia and southeast England on Saturday, becoming breezier here too. Drier to the north and west with sunny spells here, although there are likely to be a few showers affecting the far north of Scotland. Highs at 12 to 16C.
