Heavy, possibly thundery showery rain is expected across England and eastern Wales this morning giving some locally torrential downpours of rain. This will be across northern England and southern Scotland in the afternoon with brighter conditions and scattered showers in the south. Some heavy showers as well for western Scotland with a fine, dry and mostly sunny day across Northern Ireland. Expect highs of 12 to 15C.
Friday Night
Still some showers to come across central and north east England into the evening and night. Overnight another area of heavy rain may threaten the south east and East Anglia. Heavy showers persist across western Scotland otherwise a dry night to come. Expect lows of 5 to 10C.
Saturday
Outbreaks of rain are expected across East Anglia and the south east but confidence on how far this moves west is low. It could become heavy moving into central areas. The bulk of the country could remain dry with the best of the sunshine across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Light rain may linger across East Anglia and the south east into the evening and night. Dry across the rest of Britain with clear spells. Colder in the north with a local touch of frost possible. Expect highs of 10 to 15C.
Sunday
Cloudy across the south east and East Anglia and here some light rain is expected to persist. Again it looks dry and sunnier to the north across north west England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Some patchy rain may linger in the south east tonight. Most of the country looks dry with a risk of a frost in the north again. Expect highs of 9 to 13C.
