Quite a grey, misty morning to come across much of the United Kingdom but essentially dry with some dense fog patches in the south. In the afternoon sunnier spells develop across central and eastern parts of England rain comes into south west England, Northern Ireland and later into South Wales. Expect highs of 7 to 11C.

Wednesday Night
Through the evening that rain may turn much heavier across Northern Ireland, south west England and Wales and may be very heavy across Cornwall. Tonight this heavy rain spreads in across much of western Britain but dry in the east. Expect lows of 5 to 10C.

Thursday
An increasingly windy day in store for the country with gales developing in the north west later. Rain is forecast for Northern Ireland and northern Scotland during the day, this heavy. Most of England and Wales will be dry with plenty of cloud though again, the cloud may break to give sunnier spells at times. That area of rain will linger across Scotland and Northern Ireland into the evening and the night but becomes light and patchy. Cloudy but dry across England and Wales. Expect highs of 10 to 13C.

Friday
Little change is expected across the country today with gales and rain across the far west of the country. Central and eastern parts of England and Scotland will be dry, windy with some brighter spells at times. Winds will be strong again in the west touching gale force around exposed coasts. Rain lingers in the west into the evening and night. Expect highs of 10 to 13C.
