Thursday
A weak front will be clearing from southeast England this morning, taking outbreaks of light rain with it. Much brighter weather then follows from the west bringing dry conditions with plenty of sunshine across much of England, Wales and Scotland. Thicker cloud and increasing winds later this morning for western Ireland with rain by lunchtime. This rain spreads northeast through the afternoon to affect western Scotland. Increasing cloud across Wales, but for eastern Wales and England it should stay dry and bright. Becoming windy in the west. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern England.
Thursday Night
A breezy night for northern and western parts of the country. There will be cloud and outbreaks of rain across Ireland and much of western Scotland. A few showers could trouble the coasts of southwest England too. For most though the night will be a dry one with broken cloud. Mild too at 6 to 8C.
Friday
A moist southerly flow affects the UK and Ireland through Friday, as a warm front clears northern Scotland and a cold front slips into western Ireland. There will be fairly cloudy and breezy conditions for northern and western areas with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle, this most persistent for western Ireland and parts of southwest Scotland. A few spots of drizzle on the coasts of west and south Wales as well as southwest England. More central and eastern areas will be brighter with broken cloud and some sunny spells too. Highs will be to a mild 12 to 15C.
Saturday
On Saturday the south to southeast flow persists. There will be some cloud around northern and western parts of the country, with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle here as well. The drizzle could affect western coasts of England and Wales. Once again more central and eastern areas should be drier with some sunny spells, the best of these in the east. Highs at 10 to 14C.
