Quite a cloudy, misty morning to come across much of the United Kingdom but essentially dry with some dense fog patches in the east and south east. An area of rain will affect northern Scotland, north west England and Northern Ireland. In the afternoon sunnier spells develop across central and eastern parts of England as rain lingers across northern Scotland and Northern Ireland with gales from the Irish Sea northward. Mild with highs of 12 to 14C.
Friday Night
Through the evening and night that rain will be light in the north west with a lot of mist and murk across western parts of the United Kingdom. Low cloud will also develop across much of central and eastern parts of England giving a mild night with lows of 8 to 10C.
Saturday
Little change is expected across the country today with rain across the far west of the country, heaviest across western Scotland. Central and eastern parts of England and Scotland will be dry, windy with some bright or sunnier spells at times by the afternoon after a cloudy, grey morning. Rain lingers in the north west into the evening then clears in the night with much of the country dry. Expect highs of 9 to 13C.
Sunday
Expect a good deal of dry weather across the country today but there remains some light rain across the Irish Sea into western parts of Scotland. Fair and dry across the rest of Britain with low cloud and mist around in the morning. This should disperse to some afternoon sunshine in places. Cloudy through the night with patchy rain across much of Britain. Expect highs of 9 to 14C.
