Thursday
A ridge of high pressure is going to be affecting southern parts of the country throughout Thursday. This should bring a dry and fair day to much of England and eastern Wales with the best of the sunshine affecting central and eastern England. To the north and west it is going to be breezier and more cloudy. Rain will be affecting the north and west of Scotland, as well as Ireland, this becoming more persistent in the afternoon. Winds picking up to gale force in the west too later. Highs at 9 to 12C.
Thursday Night
A band of cloud and outbreaks of rain will be passing eastwadrs with a front overnight into Thursday. Most of the rain will be across northern England and Wales with only light rain to the south. Drier weather should follow from the west, although there will be some showers affecting western Scotland and Ireland, a few of them heavy. Lows near 2 to 4C behind the front, 9C ahead of it.
Friday
A weakening cold front may be over southeast England early on Friday, birnging some patchy rain. This clears quickly to the east as a ridge of high pressure then builds from the west. This brings sunny spells and mainly dry, but cooler weather for much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland. For western Scotland and Ireland there will be showers, and it will be feeling cold. Those showers turning wintry on the hills of Scotland. Highs at 12C in the southeast, 7C in northern Scotland.
Saturday
Another front tracks northeast on Saturday, this time it's a warm front which will bring lo cloud, drizzle and some rain to much of western Scotland and Ireland through the day. There could be some low cloud affecting the coasts of Wales and southwest England too. For more central and eastern areas the day is likely to be dry with sunny spells although there could be some misty weather around at first. Highs at a cool feeling 7 to 11C.
