Monday
An increasingly very windy day with gales developing in the west. Cloudy in the west today with outbreaks of rain into western Scotland, Northern Ireland and Cornwall this morning. Lots of sunshine to be found across the rest of Britain. In the afternoon a heavy spell of rain comes into northern Scotland with rain down across western England and Wales with sunnier spells in the east. Expect highs of 7 to 11C.

Monday Night
Still very windy into the evening and night. Heavier rain to come from Wales north into north west England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Most places will have some rain into the night with the heaviest rain still confined from Cumbria into Scotland and Northern Ireland. A very mild with lows of 10 to 11C.

Tuesday
Very windy but milder with gales spreading east today. Rather wet for much of England with spells of rain. That rain clears Scotland, north west and south west England and Wales by afternoon replaced by blustery showers, these wintry across northern Scotland. Expect highs of 6 to 13C north to south. A windy, cold night with showers around western coasts, these wintry across northern Scotland. Dry and clear across most of Britain. Expect highs of 10 to 13C.

Wednesday
Another very windy day in store for the country as strong gales again develop in the west and sweep east. A number of showers will be around western and southern coasts in the morning but a fine, sunny more for most inland areas. Outbreaks of rain the sweep in across Scotland, Northern Ireland and western parts of Britain through the afternoon with the east dry and bright. So a wet, very windy evening to come but the rain and gales sweep into the North Sea tonight as showers move back into western areas, these of snow across northern Scotland. Highs today of 7 to 11C.
