Dense fog patches Mainly dry, mild seiten=4 abk=focus
Friday
A dry morning across England and Wales with some fog patches, some of these will be locally dense from northeast England down through the Midlands and southern parts of England into East Anglia. There will be some sunshine developing, especially later this morning as these fog patches lift. Cloudier across Scotland with some outbreaks of rain into northern parts of Scotland this morning tending to dry up for the afternoon. During the course of the afternoon. Cloud will thicken up across much of eastern and central and southern parts of England in the afternoon with a risk of some patchy bits of rain in the south. Fair and dry to the north. Continued mild with maximum temperatures in a range of 11 to 13 Celsius north to south.
Friday night
This evening there is still risk of some light rain across Wales and central parts of England otherwise a mainly dry evening across the United Kingdom. Overnight it becomes windier in the north with outbreaks of more persistent rain reaching Northern Ireland and perhaps Cornwall with some light rain expected for much of England and Scotland, although the south of England is likely to stay dry. Temperatures generally down to 5 to 7C.
Saturday
A dry, bright morning with the best the sunshine across East Anglia and the southeast. The rest of the United Kingdom only overcast and windy with outbreaks of rain, some of this will be heavy, and this rain will push into eastern areas during the course of the afternoon. As it does so, we expect a mix of sunshine showers to follow in from the west. A few heavy showers over the Highlands of Scotland will turn wintry. By this evening it will be dry and clear across much of the United Kingdom. Tonight a few snow showers are possible cross western parts of Scotland, while an area of rain pushes in across southern Ireland, into the south west of England perhaps into west Wales by morning. Expect top temperatures today of 8 to 11 Celsius.
Sunday
Confidence on the extent and location of the rain across England and Wales is low today. Models suggest that rain is expected from Wales down to southwest England and into the channel. This could spread east later today. To the north. Just a few scattered showers to come across Northern Ireland, western Scotland with a few near northwest coasts of England. Feeling colder today with temperatures of 6 to 9 Celsius for much of the United Kingdom. This evening that area of rain across Wales and southwest England is expected to clear leaving a dry, cold night across much of Britain with the risk of the ground frost.
