More cloud around on Friday than on Thursday as weak fronts affect the country. There could be some spots of drizzle on western coasts, but for most the day is going to be dry. Some bright or sunny spells through more central and eastern parts of England. A cold front slipping south into Scotland bringing more persistent periods of rain, these heavy across northern and western areas. This more persistent rain slipping into the far north of Northern Ireland and southern Scotland later as drier weather arrives in the far north of Scotland. A breezy start to the day in the north, but this easing during the afternoon. Highs at 15C in any sunshine in the south, nearer 9C in northern Scotland.

Plenty of cloud across England, Wales and Ireland tonight. There could be some drizzle over western coasts of England and Wales. Rain for northern England and Northern Ireland, with most rain affecting northwest England. Clearer skies following into Scotland and it should be largely dry here too, although some cloud and spots of rain may arrive in the northwest later. Lows at 2C under clearer skies, but 4 to 7C for most.
Saturday
High pressure is going to be to the southwest of England through Saturday. A front will be weakening through Ireland, Wales and southern England giving cloud and a few spots of rain over western coasts. This cloud continuing to break with sunny spells developing. Brighter and drier over northern England and Scotland, with the best of any sunshine here in the east. Breezier over northern Scotland with cloud and some drizzle here. Highs at 17C in southern England, 9C in northern Scotland.
Sunday
High pressure is centred over the country on Sunday. There may be some morning mist and fog patches, but these will be clearing to allow plenty of sunshine to come through. It should be staying dry with plenty of sunshine through Sunday afternoon. However, northern and western Scotland may well see some low cloud and this could bring some spots of drizzle. Highs at 17C in the sunshine in southern England, 11C in western Scotland.
