Outbreaks of moderate rain will affect western parts of Scotland and all of Northern Ireland this morning. In the afternoon this rain looks to turn heavier possibly reaching the far northwest of England, western parts of Wales and the far west of Cornwall by the end of the afternoon. The rest of England and Wales looks to have a dry day but a fairly cloudy start. More cloud breaks will develop across central and eastern areas allowing some sunshine through. A windier day to come, especially in the north and west. Maximum temperatures of 10 to 13 Celsius.
Friday night
It will remain rather windy the course of this evening and tonight. Central and eastern parts of England will remain dry but it will become cloudy. Elsewhere it looks rather damp with spells of rain. Tonight that rain looks mainly light patchy as it moves into eastern and southern parts of England, though something a bit heavier could affect the far south western coastal counties. To the north it turns mainly dry and colder with temperatures falling to 1 to 6 Celsius leading to a frost in the north.
Saturday
Saturday morning looks cloudy with some rain across this far south of England. In the afternoon. This looks to turn heavier as it pushes up across all but the north west of England and also into Wales. Across Scotland and Northern Ireland it will be a day of sunny spells and scattered showers, though few showers are likely across eastern parts of Scotland. It looks to be a very wet evening across much of England and Wales this evening and tonight, though it may dry up across the south west of England. Strong winds may also effect the southeast of England this evening and tonight. A colder day with top temperatures today of 7 to 9 Celsius.
Sunday
Rather cold and windy across the country today with the risk of gales across East Anglia and Lincolnshire. It could be quite a wet morning across northeast England down through the Midlands, East Anglia and the southeast of England. This area of rain will be moving away to the east, clearing all parts by the end of the afternoon. For the rest of the country it should be a fair, dry, day with sunny spells. It will be a dry night and as the winds turn light under mostly clear skies, we could see a widespread frost developing. Expect maximum temperatures in a range of 6 to 9 Celsius.
