Thursday
Rather a cloudy start to the day across much of the country. There will be breaks developing in the cloud and these will become more noticeable through the day. The best of the sunshine in the afternoon across central and eastern parts of England and Scotland. A front moving into westrn Scotland and Ireland will be bringing periods of rain here, this becoming more persistent later. Thursday Night
Dry with clearing skies over central and eastern parts of England and Scotland tonight. Fronts edging east through ireland and Scotland bringing some periods of rain, this thicker cloud and rain reaching Wales and northwest England by the morning. Lows will be near 2C under clearer skies in England, 5C in western Scotland.

Friday
A frontal system will be edging eastwards through the British Isles during Friday. The exact positioning of the front is unsure, although at the moment it looks likely that there will be cloud and periods of rain through northern England, Wales, southwest England, Ireland and much of western and southern Scotland. More southeastern parts of England should stay dry. Hwoever, note that the front could move further east and so it may well be that rain is further east and south then predicted above too. Highs at 8C in westrn Scotland, 14C in southeast England.

Saturday
A shallow, but complex area of low pressure will across the north of the country through Saturday. Fronts clear southeast England, taking outbreaks of rain and cloud with them. Cloud then breaks behind the front with sunny spells developing. There will be heavy showers forming for much of Scotland, Ireland and Wales as well as the west of England. Highs at a cooler 6 to 10C.
