Mild and Dry Rain in SW tonight seiten=4 abk=focus
Wednesday
Apart from some light rain across northern Scotland and perhaps the far south west of England, much of the country will be fair and dry with a good deal of cloud, but there will be some breaks allowing a few sunny spells across eastern areas of England and Scotland. This will be followed by a dry afternoon for much of Britain and we will see more in the way of sunshine developing, although more cloud is always expected in the west. Maximum temperatures of 12 to 15 Celsius.
Wednesday night
All parts of the country should have a pleasant, dry evening to come. During the night we may see some persistent and heavier rain spreading up from the channel to southwest England, though confidence is low on this at the time. The rest of the country will remain dry and with clear spells, there is a risk of frost with temperatures falling to 1 to 4 Celsius.
Thursday
With high pressure in charge, much of the United Kingdom will be dry today, but there may be an exception down across southwest England and southern Wales where we may see spells of rain in the morning spreading into much of Wales in the afternoon. Confidence on where this area of rain will move is rather low at present. Best the sunshine today is likely to be across Scotland and north east England. Tonight we expect more in the way of cloud across the country and the remnants of that rain may be across Northern Ireland, northwest England, and western Scotland. High temperatures today of 12 to 15 Celsius.
Friday
Rain across northern parts of Scotland will tend to fade away with a few showers and left in the west. Wales could also see a few showers in the afternoon. Dry across all of England with sunny spells and some occasional cloud at times. Any showers will fade away this evening to be followed by a dry night. Most areas should be frost free, but where any lengthy clear spells occur, we could see a slight frost along with some mist and fog patches by morning. Expect maximum temperatures in a range of 11 to 15 Celsius.
