Tuesday
High pressure to the south of the country today. The wind will be from the southwest and this is going to be bringing plenty of cloud through many northern and western parts of the country. There will be some outbreaks of rain over western Scotland and northwest England as well as over the hills of western Wales. More central and eastern areas will have some breaks in the cloud and there will be some sunny spells developing. Highs at 16C in eastern England, 12C in Northern Ireland.

Tuesday Night
Cloudier skies through Tuesday night across many areas. There will be cloud and outbreaks of drizzle and rain over northern and western parts of Scotland. Some low cloud and drizzle affecting southern coasts of England too. Where shelter is available from the west cloud is going to be breaking and there will be sunny spells breaking through the cloud. Lows at 0C in central parts of England, 4C on the western coasts of Scotland.

Wednesday
High pressure dominating the weather again through Wednesday, being centred to the east of the country. It will be a chilly start inland, but then most of the day will be dry and fair with plenty of sunshine. There could be some low cloud affacting southern coasts of England, possibly giving an odd spot of drizzle here and there. Some cloud and drizzle for the northwest of Scotland and western Ireland. Highs at 11 to 15C.

Thursday
A shallow area of low pressure edges into the southwest of England on Thursday. Generally though, high pressure is going to be in control off the east of the country. This will be bringing lots of sunshine through Scotland and most of England, Wales and Ireland. Southwest England and southern Wales as well as southern Irland will see increasing amoujnts of cloud and outbreaks of rain, these possibly becoming heavier later. Highs at 12 to 17C.
