Turning Colder More Unsettled seiten=4 abk=focus

Sunday
After a cold, frosty start to the day, it should be a fine morning across much of Britain with good spells of sunshine in the morning. The far north of Scotland will see some outbreaks of rain with scattered showers expected across western Scotland and down through Northern Ireland for the afternoon. Most of England and Wales will remain fine and dry with sunny spells and some occasional cloud. Expect maximum temperatures today of 10 to 13 Celsius.

Sunday night
Through the evening and night. Further spells of rain are expected across northern parts of Scotland with some snow showers moving into Shetland. Elsewhere it will be a fine, dry evening and night with clear spells leading to a frost in the south as the north turns cloudy. Expect minimum temperatures of -1 to 5 Celsius.

Monday
Cold with snow expected across northern parts of Scotland today. A number of showers are expected across southern Scotland down into most of England, Wales and Northern Ireland interspersed with sunnier spells. The far south of England may escape with a dry day. An area of rain and snow will push down into southern Scotland into northern England during the evening and night with rain into Wales. Expect top temperatures of 9 to 14 Celsius.

Tuesday
Much colder in the north today with sunnier spells and plenty of snow showers. From The Midlands southward this should be as rain and heavy rain showers though there is a chance that this may turn more to snow by evening. Confidence this is low in the specific forecast at this time. As it becomes clear tonight, temperatures fall to well below freezing nationwide giving a hard and widespread frost. Ice may also be a problem by morning. Look for high temperatures in a range of 3 to 13 Celsius but fall late in the day in the south.
