Sunday
Sunshine and showers across the country again through this morning. The showers tending to be focused and prolonged over northern England and Wales, with these then spreading through the Midlands and southern England. The showers becoming thundery at times as they pass through southern England during the late morning and early afternoon. Brighter weather then follows from the west with sunny spells developing. Further showers to come across Scotland, most in the east and these will become heavy for a while before fading later. A windy day across the south of the country. Highs at 9 to 12C.

Sunday Night
One or two showers during tonight although generally these will be fading away with some good clear spells developing. There will be an increasing amount of cloud through the second half of the night and this is going to be bringing rain into southern Ireland, south Wales and southern England, the rain becoming heavy later. The winds increasing in the south as the rain arrives. Lows at 0C under clearer skies, but 9C in the far southwest of England.

Monday
An intense area of low pressure passes east through the Channel on Monday. This takes an area of rain east through southern and central England, with the rain being heavy at times. It will be windy through the southern half of the UK too. Further north there will be scattered showers and rather a lot of cloud, although western coasts will be drier and brighter. The afternoon sees rain remaining across East Anglia and southeast England, with showers in the north east. Once again more western areas should be drier and brighter with some sunny spells here. Highs at 9 to 12C.

Tuesday
Low pressure is going to be over the Netherlands on Tuesday, with a front rotating around the low bringing cloud and rain across East Anglia and the easter Midlands, this possibly lasting throughout the day. Showers will be affecting much of central and northern England, as well as Scotland. More western parts of the country will be brighter with sunny spells and just occasional showers. Highs at 8 to 12C.
