Thursday
A very windy and unsettled day across Britain once again. Outbreaks of persistent and sometimes heavy rain are expected across Scotland into Northern Ireland this morning while lots of showers are forecast for England and Wales, some heavy with the risk of thunder. Into the afternoon we expect little overall change with the persistent rain across northern Scotland and Northern Ireland with frequent, heavy showers with thunder and hail for England and Wales. There is a risk of some snow over the high ground of northern Scotland. Expect maximum temperatures today of 8 to 13 Celsius.

Thursday night
Throughout the course of the evening, we expect outbreaks of rain across Scotland, northern England, Northern Ireland and down across Wales, again with snow over high ground of northern Scotland. Dry across East Anglia and the southeast this evening. Overnight, we don't expect a whole lot of change with a dry night across the South Midlands, East Anglia and southern England, while rain will affect most other areas. Expect minimum temperatures of 3 to 8 Celsius north to south.

Friday
Perhaps mainly dry but windy across Kent today with some sunshine. For much of Britain. It continues to be very unsettled and windy with plenty of showers mixed with some longer spells of rain. Once again we can expect some hail and thunder in the heavier showers in the showers will be wintry in the north of Scotland over high ground. Through the evening and night, some rain may affect Wales, but for most part it becomes dry across much of the country. Expect highs today of 8 to 13 Celsius.

Saturday
Across Northern Ireland and Scotland, expect a mainly dry day with sunny spells. The unsettled regime continues across England and Wales with a good deal of cloud and occasional showers. Perhaps the far south west may see some more persistent rain arriving later this afternoon. That area of persistent and heavier rain in the far south is forecast to spread up across the southern half of England and Wales during the course of the evening and night. To the north will be dry with clear spells leading to a frost across Scotland. Look for high temperatures of 8 to 13 Celsius.
