A windy morning across the country. Rain is expected across northern parts of England into Wales this morning with showers across southern England and northern Scotland. In the afternoon the winds will moderate somewhat but it will become very showery across all parts of the country. Some heavy showers may be heavy with the risk of thunder and may fall as snow over the higher elevations of northern Scotland. Most of Northern Ireland should remain dry with good sunny spells. Expect maximum temperatures today of 8 to 13 Celsius.
Friday night
Rather cloudy across Wales, central and southern parts of England through this evening and tonight with some mainly patchy bits of rain. To the north it will be dry and with mostly clear skies, it will turn colder with the risk of frost. Expect minimum temperatures tonight down to 0 to -2 Celsius across northern England and Scotland and 3 to 8 Celsius in the south.
Saturday
During Saturday strong northeast wind will develop across England and Wales. During the morning outbreaks of rain will push up into central and southern parts of England along with Wales and this is likely to turn heavier in the afternoon. A dry day to come across Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland with sunny spells though it becomes cloudy across northern England in the afternoon. Throughout this evening and tonight it looks quite wet and very windy across Wales and the southern half of England as that the rain continues and the winds gusts to gale force. Again to the north under clear skies and lighter winds, expect a frost. Temperatures will be suppressed today highs today of 8 to 10 Celsius.
Sunday
Sunday is looking wet and very windy across much of England and Wales with spells of heavy rain and gale force winds from the north east. Perhaps later in the afternoon will brighten up the far south of England with a few showers. Scotland and Northern Ireland will remain fair and dry. Tonight should be mainly dry apart from some light rain across eastern parts of Scotland, north east England. High temperatures today of 9 to 14 Celsius.
