A very windy day to come with gales across Wales and northern parts of England. In the morning heavy rain is expected across Wales and parts of north west England and Northern Ireland. Another area of heavy rain will affect northern Scotland and then most of northern England and Wales in the afternoon. Some sunshine and some sharp showers develop across East Anglia, the South nline.co.uk/Midlands.htm" target="_top">Midlands and southern England. Expect high temperatures of 12 to 15 Celsius.

Friday Night
Strong gales with gusts to 55 mph are expected in the north of England tonight. Further spells of heavy rain to come for Wales and northern parts of England. The northern half of Britain will have further rain into the night with the south mainly dry but cloudy. Minimum temperatures down to 8 to 10 Celsius.

Saturday
Expect an unsettled day with a good deal of cloud and some showery rain though across the Midlands and Wales it may turn dry and sunnier in the afternoon. Northern parts of England see some light rain into the evening and night. Mainly fair and dry across the rest of the United Kingdom. Expect top temperatures today of 12 to 16 Celsius.

Sunday
A very showery day in store for Britain. The showers develop later in the morning, becoming heavier and widespread in the afternoon though south west England and west Wales may manage to stay dry and sunny. There remains the risk of some showers or patchy rain tonight but the far south should be dry in the main. High temperatures today of 12 to 16 Celsius.
