Lots of dry weather to come across much of Britain today. There will be a few showers around the eastern coasts of England, across south west England and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere a mainly dry, bright day with sunny spells. Feeling colder in the north. Dry across much of Britain this evening and tonight with clear spells and a widespread frost. Feeling cold in a brisk north wind. Maximum temperatures of 6 to 9 Celsius.

Tuesday
Outbreaks of rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland become light as they spill in across northern England in the afternoon. For Wales and southern England it will be a dry day with sunny spell. The rain runs into East Anglia and will be light this evening as another belt of rain spreads across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Maximum temperatures of 7 to 9 Celsius.
