Rather windy across the country today. A belt of rain will lie from south eastern parts of Scotland. Across northern England into western parts of Wales and into Cornwall. This rain looks heaviest across western parts of Wales and perhaps across northwest England. To the south, it will be fair and dry with a few sunny spells this morning while cross Scotland and Northern Ireland. In the afternoon this belt of rain is expected to lie from northern parts of England down through Wales and southwest England. Expect sunny spells and scattered showers across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Expect top temperatures of 9 to 11 Celsius.

Friday Night
It remains rather windy this evening with spells of moderate to heavy rain from northeast England down through the West Midlands, into eastern Wales and southwest England. Eastward to about Hampshire. Tonight the rain then moves in across East Anglia, the southeast and East Midlands. Expect minimum temperatures of 4 to 9 Celsius.

Saturday
On Saturday outbreaks of rain across East Anglia and the southeast in the morning will gradually slip away in the early part of the afternoon. Rather windy here in the morning. Most other inland areas of Britain will be fine and dry with good sunny spells, although some showers are going to affect southwest England, western parts of Wales, northwest England and western parts of Scotland. A few of these could be on the heavy side. Tonight looks fine and dry with clear spells and just a few showers dotted around western coasts of Britain. With light winds it will be a bit colder with some patchy frosts developing across rural parts of the country. Maximum temperatures of 7 to 10 Celsius.

Apart from a few widely scattered showers around some western coastal areas of the country, it should be a fine, dry and mostly sunny day to come for most parts of the United Kingdom. In the evening. It will tend to cloud over in the west. This will bring some patchy light outbreaks of rain and drizzle into Northern Ireland, western Scotland, the far west of Wales and perhaps western Cornwall during the course of the night.
