Thursday
Mainly dry across northern Scotland today. Some light outbreaks of rain will persist across southern Scotland and Northern Ireland. For England and Wales a dull, grey and misty day to come. There is a risk of some dense fog patches as well and these may take into the early afternoon before clearing. This will leave a good deal of low cloud across the country for the afternoon with just a few chinks in the cloud giving the odd sunnier spell. Top temperatures of 8 to 11 Celsius.
Thursday Night
Some rain to come across Scotland this evening and tonight. Mainly dry across England and Wales with variable cloud, mist patches and a local frost is possible where any lengthy clear spells develop. Expect minimum temperatures of 1 to 6 Celsius.
Friday
Outbreaks of mainly light rain are forecast for Northern Ireland, Scotland, West Wales and Cornwall today. The rest of England and Wales should be dry but rather cloudy. The rain turns heavier this evening moving into all but East Anglia and south east England. Most places will have a wet night with wintry showers following the rain across northern Scotland. Very windy across England and Wales tonight. Maximum temperatures of 8 to 12 Celsius.
Saturday
Rather windy and a colder day to come. Outbreaks of rain across East Anglia and the south east in the morning clear by the afternoon. Scattered showers will be found across western parts of Scotland and north west England. Most places will be dry with good sunny spells. The showers persist in the north west tonight while we may see an area of rain coming in across parts of Wales and perhaps south west England. Maximum temperatures of 5 to 11 Celsius.
