Tuesday
A windy day with plenty of cloud for much of the UK and Ireland. There will be some outbreaks of rain across southern England and southern Ireland as well as western Scotland. This rain is likely to become heavy at times, with the focus for the heavy rain in more westrn areas. A cold front then edges eastwards taking rain into more central and northern parts of England, some of this heavy at times. Drier weather arrives into Ireland and western parts of England and Wales through the afternoon. The far southeast is likely to be staying dry through the day. A very mild day with highs at 10 to 13C with winds to gale force.
Tuesday Night
Rain across central, northern and eastern England tonight, this heavy at times, although the winds will be easing. Most rain is likely in the Midlands and across the southeast qaurter of the country. Becoming drier for more northern a dwestern areas of the country, as well as through Ireland. Just an odd shower on western coasts of Wales and southwest England. Lows at 2C in central Scotland, but more generally 5 to 7C.
Wednesday
Rain looks likely to still be affecting East Anglia and southeast England at first on Wednesday. This is going to be clearing east with much brighter weather then following from the west as a ridge of high pressure builds. The only complication is a showery trough which may bring some showers into Wales and southwest England. Elsewhere it should be a dry day with sunny spells. Highs at 7 to 11C for most.
Thursday
High pressure is to the south of the country through Wednesday. Low pressure is to the west of Ireland, with the flow staying southwesterly. A trough brings cloud and rain through ireland and into western Scotland. More southern and eastern areas will be drier and brighter with sunny spells developing in the east and south. Highs at 8 to 11C.
