Cloudy across England and Wales this morning. Outbreaks of heavy rain are forecast across East Midlands, East Anglia and the southeast of England. westward to about Hampshire. This rain gradually clears East Anglia and the southeast during the course of the afternoon but staying cloudy here. Sunny spells will develop across the rest of Britain through the course of the day. Just a few isolated showers will be found around some western coasts Of 6 to 10 Celsius.
Wednesday Night
Western coasts of England, Wales and Scotland will see showers into the evening and the night as rain spreads in across Northern Ireland in the night. The bulk of Britain though looks dry tonight with winds increasing to near gale force in the west by morning. Expect minimum temperatures of 4 to 8 Celsius.
Thursday
Very windy today with gales and a risk of severe gales across southern Scotland, northern England and Wales with possible gusts to 70mph. Heavy rain across Scotland and western Britain slowly moves into all but East Anglia and the south east in the afternoon. The rain may linger across England and Wales into the evening and night clearing Scotland. Again it may stay mainly dry across East Anglia and the south east. Highs today of 9 to 12 Celsius.
Friday
A wet and very windy day with a risk of heavy rain accompanied by strong gales across England and Wales. Mainly dry across Scotland and Northern Ireland. The rain is expected to have cleared into the North Sea by evening followed by a dry night with clear spells and feeling colder. Maximum temperatures of 5 to 11 Celsius.
