A windy day to come and this will make it feel quite cold. Heavy rain is expected across northern England and this may brush western parts of Wales and the southern and eastern coasts of England in the morning. Further rain to come across northern England spilling into southern Scotland. In the south it looks brighter with occasional showers and a few may be heavy in the south east. Highs today of 6 to 10 Celsius.

Monday Night
A breezy night but windy in the west. A cloudy evening and night with spells of rain to come for most parts of the United Kingdom although little rain is expected across East Anglia and the south east. Expect minimum temperatures of 3 to 5C north to south.

Tuesday
Very windy with strong northerly across the country. A cloudy morning across England and Wales with outbreaks of mainly light rain that will be gradually clearing eastward. East Anglia and the southeast should later in the afternoon as it turns dry or and brighter from the west with sunny spells developing. Occasional showers will affect eastern coasts of Scotland. Most parts of the country will have a windy but mainly dry night with clear spells with showers along the North Sea coasts. Highs today of 5 to 7 Celsius.

Wednesday
Windy again today. Apart from scattered showers around the eastern coasts of England and Scotland, most parts of the country will have a dry and quite sunny day. Cold and clear for this evening and tonight with showers around North Sea coasts. With the winds dropping we can expect a widespread frost. Maximum temperatures of 4 to 7 Celsius.
