Cold through the Weekend Sharp Frosts by Night seiten=4 abk=focus

Friday
A cold frosty start to the day. This morning we will see more cloud coming in across western parts of the United Kingdom to bring some patchy bits of rain into western Scotland and for western parts of England and Wales. We could see a few isolated patches and freezing fog across East Anglia and the southeast this morning, otherwise central and eastern parts of the country will be dry and bright with some sunshine. We keep a good deal of cloud in the afternoon some light outbreaks of rain, but perhaps some sleet and wet snow over the Pennines and the Highlands of Scotland. Central eastern parts of England will remain dry and bright. Highs today of 4 to 6 Celsius.

Friday Night
During the evening we may see an area of rain with some sleet wet snow on its back edge moving down into the Midlands and then down into East Anglia and the southeast during the course of the night. Will be turning colder again from the north with a frost but it will be dry with mostly clear skies except for some snow showers across northern Scotland. Expect minimum temperatures of -3 to 2C.

Saturday
Brisk north to northwest winds develop on Saturday and it will feel like quite a cold day. Scattered showers are expected around western and eastern coasts of Britain with the risk snow showers across Scotland. Most central parts of the country will be dry and sunny. Most parts of the country will be dry, clear and cold with a widespread, sharp Frost although before morning, some rain may edge into Northern Ireland, western Wales and southwest England. Highs today of 1 to 5 Celsius.

Sunday
Another cold and frosty start. For much of Britain. Rain across Northern Ireland, Wales and southwest England in the morning there is a risk factor to push into western Scotland in the afternoon some snow over the Hills of Scotland. Central and eastern parts of the country will remain fair, dry and bright. During the course of the evening and night rain eventually spreads into all but East Anglia and the southeast and could be preceded by some sleet and snow across Scotland and perhaps the northern Pennines. Maximum temperatures of 1 to 4 Celsius.
