A cold day and feeling even colder in a brisk north east windy across England and Wales. Lots of dry weather around today with sunny spells and variable cloud. Across East Anglia and the south east that cloud thick enough to give a few snow flurries at times. Expect maximum temperatures of 5 to 8 Celsius.

Wednesday Night
It remains windy into the evening and mainly dry with clear spells and an air frost across much of Britain. East Anglia and the south east still at risk of some snow flurries with a possible covering across Kent and Sussex by morning. Expect minimum temperatures of 0 to -3C.

Thursday
Continued cold with that raw northeast wind. On Thursday there is a risk of some wintry showers or snow flurries across northern Scotland, England and Wales with perhaps light snow continuing across the southeast England in the morning that fades during the afternoon. A few snow flurries to come across the far north east England and eastern Scotland through this evening and tonight. The rest the country should be dry with variable cloud. Expect high temperatures of 4 to 7 Celsius.

Friday
Continued windy and feeling cold today. Rather cloudy all day across East Anglia and the south of England. Elsewhere it is dry with some cloud and some good sunny spells. A dry evening and night to come across the country with an air frost and a hard ground frost across Scotland, Northern Ireland and north west England. High temperatures of 5 to 8 Celsius.
