Wednesday
Cloud and some outbreaks of showery rain affecting eastern Scotland. More bits of rain over eastern England, but these tending to be generally light. Cloud and periods of rain over southern Ireland and the far southwest of England. The rain in the southwest turning more persistent, and this reaching southern Wales and spreading along southern coasts of England. Winds increasing to the south and west too with gales in the southwest. Brighter and drier weather in western Scotland, northwest England, north Wales and Northern Ireland. Highs at 12C in parts of eastern England, a chilly 9C in the rain in the southwest.

Wednesday Night
A windy night with more persistent rain passing across Wales and much of England, especially central and eastern areas. Some cloud and outbreaks of rain affecting eastern Scotland, but staying drier in the west of Scotland. Becoming drier in Wales and western England after midnight. Cloud and periods of rain reaching Ireland later. Lows near 3 to 5C in cloudier parts, nearer 1C in drer weather to the west.

Thursday
An area of low pressure is going to be extending through the country on Thursday. Cloud and periods of rain, most of them only light and generally affecting southern Ireland and northern England. More cloud and some outbreaks of rain affecting eastern Scotland where it wil be windy too. Drier to the far south of England and Wales although rather cloudy with some showers affecting western coasts. Highs near 11 to 13C in the south, 7 to 10C in the north.

Friday
A trough through the country on Friday. This brings some cloud and outbreaks of rain over the north and east of Scotland. Sunny spells elsewhere in the morning, but showers will be developing. Those showers will become heavy at times and possibly thundery as well. The showers tending to fade from the west as the trough clears eastwards. Highs around 9 to 14C.
