Thursday
A very windy day to come across the United Kingdom with gales expected. Wind gusts up to 70 mph may affect northern parts of England in the morning. The winds tend to moderate through the afternoon but staying quite windy quite as mild as it was yesterday. Persistent outbreaks of rain are expected across northern Scotland today. The rest of Scotland along with Northern Ireland, England and Wales will have a day of sunny spells and occasional blustery showers. The showers may be heaviest in the morning across northwest England and western Wales with the risk of thunder. Expect maximum temperatures of 10 to 13 Celsius.
Thursday Night
Continued windy this evening. An area of rain across southern Scotland moves into northern England and Wales tonight, most of it becomes light. The remains the risk of a few sharp showers across western parts of Wales and Cornwall. Drier to the north and south. A colder night, especially across Scotland with minimum temperatures of 1 to 5C.
Friday
For Wales and the southern half of England, expect occasional showers through the day. These will be interspersed with some brighter, sunnier spells, more so in the afternoon. Few showers to come across northern Scotland as well but the rest of the country should be dry and fairly sunny. With light winds and clear skies it will turn cold in the night with a widespread ground frost developing. Expect high temperatures of 10 to 13 Celsius.
Saturday
Apart from the odd isolated shower across northern Scotland, western Wales and Northern Ireland, much of the country should have a fine dry day with good spells of sunshine. With light winds may feel pleasantly mild. It turns cloudier across the north and west tonight as rain edges into western parts of Northern Ireland and the Western Isles. Southern parts of England could see a frost again develop. High temperatures of 11 to 14 Celsius.
