Plenty of cloud across southern ireland, Wales, parts of the Midlands and northern England today. There will be some outbreaks of rain, most over northern England and the north and west of Wales, just a few spots elsewhere. Some brighter spells breaking through in more southern parts oif England making for a very warm day. Generally dry here too. Fresher conditions for Ireland and Scotland with some showers in the north and west, a few heavy.
Wednesday night
A cloudy night with some spots of drizzle through southern Ireland, northern England and Wales, as well as northern parts of the Midlands. More southern parts of England will be dry and very mild. Cooler for Northern Ireland, northern England and Scotland with some showers around the northern and western coasts. Lows at 3C in northern Scotland, 10C in southern England.
Thursday
Low pressure will be to the northwest of Scotland on Thursday. A cold front will be through central England and Wales, edging southeast. The front brings cloud and outbreaks of rain, most through Wales, the Midlands and northern England. Drier and very warm in the southeast where there could be a few sunny spells. Fresher weather further north and west with some sunny spells. A few showers in more western areas, some heavy in western Ireland. Highs around 22C in the sunshine in the southeast, 8 to 12C in the cooler weather in the north and west.
Friday
The flow turns to the northwest on Friday. A shallow area of low pressure will be passing south through Scotland bringing cloud and periods of rain. Showers developing to the south too, although there will be sunny spells here. A much colder day with temperatures rising to around 9 to 13C.
