Friday
A dry and fine start to the morning for much of the south and west of the country this morning. More cloud in central and eastern areas. Southern coasts may have a few patches of cloud too. Through the morning the cloud in the east is going to be retreating further back eastwards. A few showers could developing over the Pennines and parts of central Scotland. An odd shower may break out over the high ground of southern England too. A stiff easterly wind blowing across southern England too. Ireland should be dry and fair throughout with lots of sunshine. Highs around 20 to 23C, but 17 to 19C in eastern areas.

Friday night
A windy night over the far south of England. High pressure is in control and this will bring a dry night for all parts of the country. Skies will be largely clear, and with lighter winds in the northern half of the country there will be some mist patches forming later. Lows around a chilly 2 to 5C.

Saturday
High pressure will be centred over northern England on Saturday. This is going to be bringing a dry morning with lots of sunshine. Windy in the far south of England. The afternoon should be remaining dry with more sunshine to come. A few showers affecting the high ground of western Scotland in the afternoon. Highs at 16 to 22C for most, but to 24C in western Ireland, coolest on eastern coasts of England.

Sunday
High pressure is going to be close to the Shetland Islands on Sunday. This affects all parts of the UK and Ireland. There could be some morning cloud in eastern and central parts of England, although this tending to burn away. Most places will then be dry with good spells of sunshine throughout the day. The chance of a few showers over western and southern parts of Scotland. Less breezy in the far south. Highs at 14C on eastern coasts, 21C in southern and western areas.
