Thursday
Bright spells to start the day across southern England and Wales. There will be thicker cloud and outbreaks of rain in western Scotland and Northern Ireland, this rain slipping into northwest England and north Wales by mid morning. This area of rain then reaches the Midlands and southern England by mid afternoon. Becoming wet for northern England and parts of Wales. Drier weather into northern Scotland later. Highs at 20C in southeast England, but just 11C in the wetter parts of northern and western England, Wales and Scotland.
Thursday night
Wet across central and southern areas through the first part of the night. Most parts then have a cloudy and damp night with outbreaks of drizzle and plenty of low cloud. Eastern coasts of England should be drier, although will be cloudy. Lows near 9 to 14C.
Friday
A warm front will be clearing eastern parts of the UK on Friday morning. A cold front brings more persistent rain to northwest Scotland, this then affecting much of the rest of Scotland and Northern Ireland in the afternoon. Elsewhere there will be lots of cloud and some outbreaks of rain and drizzle through the morning. Some brighter spells may form away from western coasts in the afternoon. Where sunny spells do develop it may become very warm, tiggering a few showers. Highs at 14 to 23C.
Saturday
High pressure will be centred to the southwest of Ireland on Saturday with a weak ridge extending into the UK and Ireland. A warm front will be passing eastwards bringing cloud and drizzle into Ireland, Wales and southwest England. Some outbreaks of light rain int he central and eastern England at first will be fading away with sunny spells forming. Some outbreaks of rain in western Scotland, but dry in eastern and northern Scotland with sunny spells here. Highs at 16 to 24C.
