Tuesday
Increasing cloud brings rain through Ireland on Tuesday morning, this reaching Wales, southwest England and western Scotland after breakfast time. The rest of England, Wales and Scotland should start the day dry with some suny spells to the east. Cloud is going to be thickening though with the rain reaching the restof Scotland, northern England and the western Midlands by lunchtime; turning rather drizzly in the west. A damp afternon across Scotland, northwest England, Wales and parts of southwest England, but tending to stay dry and cloud over more southeastern parts of England. Highs near 14 to 18C.

Tuesday night
An unsettled night with a band of rain crossing all parts of the UK and Ireland. Drier weather with just a few showers should follow into the west, and it will be breezy in the south too. The showers may merge into longer spells of rain across Ireland at times. Lows at 9 to 12C.

Wednesday
A shallow area of low pressure is expected over Scotland on Wednesday. This has a weak occluded front extending south from it and this is going to be bringing a fair amount of cloud to start the day. Here could be some showery bursts of rain too. As the front weakens further the cloud should break and the showers fade into the afternoon allowing a few sunny spells to develop. However, a warm front moving into western Ireland brings more cloud and some drizzle here later. Temperatures reaching 24C in the sunshine in southern England, 16C in cludier northern Scotland.

Thursday
Low pressure north of Scotland with high pressure in the Bay of Biscay on Sunday. A cold front from Ireland to western Scotland brings cloud and periods of rain. Elsewhere the day is going to be dry with sunny spells, the best of these in more eastern and southern areas. Temperatures could get to 26C in southern England, 15C in northern Scotland.
