Tuesday
A very warm to hot and humid day to come across the country. The northern half of the country should be dry this morning. Across Wales and southern England it will be cloudy with heavy, thundery rain. This area of thundery rain pushes north into northern England and southern Scotland in the afternoon. Torrential downpours of rain are likely across much of the country today with a risk of flash flooding. South west England may turn dry and sunny. Maximum temperatures of 23 to 29 Celsius.

Tuesday Night
Through the course of the evening and night that area of torrential, heavy and thundery rain will be across Scotland, northern England down into East Anglia. To the south it looks dry but very misty and murky. A muggy, warm night to come with minimum temperatures of 13 to 19C.

Wednesday
A dull, misty morning to come with that heavy, thundery rain across northern Scotland and eastern parts of England gradually move off into the North Sea. Elsewhere mainly dry but as it brightens up, a number of showers develop in the afternoon. The showers persist across Wales and south west England tonight. Maximum temperatures of 22 to 26 Celsius.

Thursday
Expect a warm day today with a mixture of cloud, sunnier spells and showers. The showers heavy in places for the afternoon but perhaps few showers across East Anglia and the south east and across the West Country. Most places will have a dry, cloudy and misty night. Maximum temperatures of 22 to 25 Celsius.
