Thursday
A cloudy day across Ireland and southern Scotland with some periods of rain here. Most will be light but some moderate bursts are likely too, especially over southwest Scotland. The rain area will be moving north, although fragmenting and turning lighter as it does so. Broken cloud through Wales and the far west of England, some sunny spells and feeling humid here with a risk of some fog on coasts. A hot day with sunshine over much of England, the best of the sunshine in the south, although some cloud to the north. Temperatures rising to 32C across southern England, 18C in northern Scotland.
Thursday night
Cloud and periods of rain across northern Scotland tonight, some of it heavy in places. A few showers for northern England and the west of England, Wales and Scotland. Some of the showers may merge into longer spells of rain. Drier through central and eastern areas with some clear skies. Lows at 13 to 18C.
Friday
A deep area of low pressure will be centred west of Scotland on Friday. A cold front moves eastwards through England, taking some showers with it, although these fading. Scattered showers on western coasts and hills, but drier elsewhere with sunny spells. Some heavier showers in Ireland, and windy through Ireland and Scotland too. Tops at 29C in southeast England, 20C in Ireland and western Scotland.
Saturday
Low pressure is to the northwest of Scotland on Saturday. Windy with a mix of sunshine and showers across Scotland and northern England as well as Northern Ireland, one or two heavy in the west. Scaterred showers on western coasts of Wales, England and Ireland with central and eastern areas being dry with sunny spells. Highs at 19 to 26C.
