Wednesday
A cloudy day with outbreaks of rain passing northwards through the country. Most of it will be light, but some moderate bursts could affect parts of the Midlands, southwest Scotland and southern Wales. Drier in the morning across northern and eastern Scotland as well as eastern coasts of England. This afternoon sees more persistent rain affecting Wales, the western Midlands and into northwest England. Some rain in northeast England, but much of East Anglia and the east of the Midlands will be dry. Breezy, apart from in the south. Outbreaks of rain in Ireland too. Tops near 14 to 20C.
Wednesday night
A rather cloudy night across most of the UK and Ireland. There will be periods of rain in southwest England, Wales and parts of southern Scotland. Just about anywhere could see some outbreaks of rain at times. More persistent rain passing east across Ireland. Lows at 10 to 13C.
Thursday
Dry to start Thursday across eastern parts of England. Cloud and periods of rain in Scotland and western England. Rain becomes more persistent over south wales and central southern England. An area of heavier rain passing east through Ireland and into western Scotland. Becoming wetter across much of the UK and Ireland in the afternoon, with the threat of heavier bursts of rain affecting England, western and southern Scotland as well as eastern Ireland. Highs at 15 to 19C.
Friday
Low pressure north of Scotland on Friday. An occluded front passes eastwards through Scotland and northern England bringing rain here, although this should fade from the west in the afternoon. Cloud and outbreaks of light rain in central and southern England at first, becoming drier as the day progresses and brighter too. Heavier showers across Ireland in the morning, moving into Wales and western England later. Breezy across more northern areas with tops at 14 to 20C.
