Bitterly cold Rain for many seiten=4 abk=focus

Sunday
A wet morning across much of eastern, central and southern England. Add in the raw northerly wind which will be gusting to 50mph on eastern coasts, and it will be feeling bitterly cold. The rain then lasts into the afternoon, mostly affecting the Midlands and southern England, perhaps with a few brighter spells over the coasts of northeast England and East Anglia later. For Scotland and Ireland the day is drier, but chilly. There will be some good sunny spells around in areas sheltered from the northeast wind. Temperatures reaching 9 to 12C at best.

Sunday night
More rain affecting eastern coasts of England through tonight, with a further area of showers and rain across Wales and southwest England. Some patchy rain in central, southern and eastern Scotland too. Drier in western Wales and Ireland, together with the north and west of Scotland. Gales ag in the east and breezy for most other areas, this keeping temperatures around 4 to 8C.

Monday
Low pressure is expected to be close to The Wash on Monday. High pressure will be north of Scotland. Winds will be to gale force on eastern coasts with cloud and rain affecting many areas. Most of the rain in the east. Drier for northern and western Scotland, Ireland and the west and southwest of England. Highs at 10 to 12C.

Tuesday
Rain eases into Tuesday as the low pressure to the east weakens. A front moves into southwest Ireland and southwest England later bringing some periods of rain here. For most the day is a getting better day, with cloud gradually breaking and some bright or sunny spells developing. Cloud and outbreaks of rain continue to eastern parts of England in the morning, before becoming dry and bright for the afternoon. Highs at 10 to 15C.
